Help Chromify Our School! Our children need the best foundation in technology we can give them to succeed in an increasingly technological world. However, state funding doesn’t provide adequate technology resources for our children. So we, as a community, must take action to close the gap at Sherrills Ford Elementary.
That’s why we are asking for your help to Chromify our School. Here’s the challenge: As of May 2016, Sherrills Ford Elementary School has only 64 Chromebooks for 500 students to share. This school year, the 6th grade has been allocated half of the available Chromebooks to use as part of their regular curriculum and teachers have already seen an improvement in engagement, focus, and preliminary test scores. We need to offer this powerful tool to ALL students! |
Here’s the solution: We need to raise $109,325 to reach our principal’s goal of a 1:1 computer to student ratio by May 2017 so that all 500 of our students have the technology they need for their education and future.
We can purchase a fully equipped and maintained Chromebook through the Catawba County Schools Technology Department for $255.00. We are asking each Sherrills Ford Elementary family to donate whatever you can to help our 500 students succeed. No amount is too little (or too much!). Every dollar of your 100% tax-deductible donation will go directly to purchasing Chromebooks. Together, we can Chromify our School and your donation will make an immediate difference! PLUS: in honor of your donation, when you donate an entire Chromebook, your family's legacy will be acknowledged with a permanent label on the back of each device gifted. To be a part of this important campaign, simply complete the form on this page to donate online. Or, you may print out this form and follow instructions to donate via mail or in-person. Thank you, in advance, for your support. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to call our principal, Mr. Fowler, at 828.478.2662, or email our Fundraising Coordinator, Luke Walling. |
