Now we just need to go out and ask our family members near and far, friends, neighbors, and even local businesses for their donations. Being 100% tax-deductible is a huge deal this time of year when businesses and individuals are looking for last minute charitable contributions for their taxes.
What better charity that helping our kids get an even better education?
Let's MAKE IT HAPPEN, SFES!
2 changes: 1) The timeframe is now 5pm-5pm because of "falling back" with the end of Daylight Savings Time next month. 2) You must submit your payment within 1 week of signing up for your date online. Otherwise, we will have to release your spot to someone else. The easiest way to pay is online right when you book it. :) Otherwise, send in your payment in an envelope marked "PTO Spirit Rock" and include your name, your child's name, and the date you have reserved online.
Thanks for making this easier for all of us! Happy Painting
We conducted our first every Spirit Day Contest from Friday 9/16 to Sunday 9/18 and it was a not only a huge success, but it was a lot of fun!
The staff of SFES was challenged to dress up as their favorite team and show their greatest spirit in a photo that was posted on the PTO's Facebook page. Whichever group's photo got the greatest number of "likes" by 8pm on Sunday won a Bojangles lunch on us.
It was a close race all the way through but it came down to a vote-by-vote, minute-by-minute race between the 3rd grade and our Teachers' Assistants. Ultimately, the Teachers' Assistants won!
Check out our Event Calendar to keep up to date on the SFES happenings. Here's a quick preview of September:
