We are excited to kick off the fourth annual MAKE IT HAPPEN direct giving fundraising campaign. The two best parts? No selling involved and our school keeps 100% of all funds raised! Last year was a tremendous success. With your help and generosity, we raised $53,830 that went directly to enhancing our students’ education including important literacy and math educational tools, classroom materials, advanced continuing education courses for some of our teachers, and campus improvements. In addition, $5,000 was given by Dermatology Group of the Carolina’s towards our shade structures. For details, download the file below.
How does it work? Simply put, the more money your student raises, the more prizes they qualify for - from a homework pass or Spirit Stick all the way up to our NEW prize, a Chuck E Cheese Field Trip Party!! We also offer raffles that students have a chance to win based on their fundraising level and date their monies are submitted. Raffle prizes include an all-day boat rental donated by Lake Effects Boat Club, a Great Wolf Lodge getaway for six people, a weekend cabin getaway in Pigeon Forge, TN, four season passes to Carowinds, and even a $500 VISA gift card.
What is the money for? Once again, 100% of the funds will go directly to impact our school. IF we reach our $60,000 goal each of our playgrounds will receive new equipment and updates to benefit every single student this school year. Research shows that students perform better in and out of the classroom when recess is a part of their day, so let’s give them the best equipment to help make that happen.
What do we need to do? As a parent, you will receive an email with directions to register your child with Get Movin’ Fund Hub at 4:00pm on Monday, October 14th. That email contains a link to your parent dashboard with your students already set up.
DO NOT REGISTER AS A NEW PARENT ON THE GET MOVIN FUND HUB WEBSITE as this will duplicate your students.
The addition of the Get Movin’ program allows you the convenience of following your child’s fundraising throughout the entire campaign and also has the option to send your child’s personal fundraising page to friends and family members so that they can donate online. Please follow the instructions in the email you received to register your child. Once registered, you will have your child’s fundraising information at your fingertips during the entire campaign. Please help your student set a fundraising goal and reach out to friends, family, neighbors, and your employers to request donations.
On the front of the envelope, you’ll see the list of prizes your student will qualify for as they reach certain fundraising goals, along with all the important deadlines you need to know about. Through sponsorships & grants, like this, we can guarantee that 100% of the monies the students raise will go directly to enhancing our school.
Help us keep more funds right here at SFES Here are 2 ways you can help us keep additional sponsorship and grant funds in our school, 1. Donate by Cash or Check (no convenience fees) 2. Select the option to cover part of the convenience fees if you are donating online.
Family members of our students who own a company that would like to contribute by sponsoring our school, please see the included sponsorship packet for details. That sponsorship contribution will be counted towards that student(s) Make It Happen total . We will announce the winner of the Early Bird Raffle on Wednesday, October 23rd, and the rest of the raffles during a live feed on the morning of Friday, November 1st.
We also encourage you to attend the Make It Happen Fall Festival on Saturday, November 2nd from 11am-4pm to help us celebrate what an incredible community we have that MADE IT HAPPEN for our school!
